The Department of Economics and Woody Plant Ecosystems (DESA) was
established in 1998. DESA merged from the Istituto di Coltivazioni Arboree
and Istituto di Economia e Politica Agraria, which have have a long and
important history at the University of Sassari.
department promote interdisciplinary coordination and integration in
teaching and research activities and focuses on the solution of complex
local, national, and international agricultural and forestry problems.
DESA is subdivided into the sections of Woody Plant Ecosystems
and of Economics and Agricultural Policy.
